Description
The trainee will conduct audits and other assessments; examine documents to ensure compliance with State, Federal, or other requirements; interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, standards, policies, and procedures; prepare clear and accurate reports consisting of findings, conclusions, and recommendations for improvement; and performs other related work as required.
Requirements
Education/Experience
Note: Applicants must meet one of the following or a combination of both experience and education. Thirty (30) semester hour credits are equal to one (1) year of relevant experience.Four (4) years of professional experience relevant to the position.
Note: Experience must be related to the journeyman title associated with the position.

Possession of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
Note: "Professional experience" refers to work that is analytical, evaluative, and interpretive; requires a range of basic knowledge of the profession's concepts and practices; and is performed with the authority to act and make accurate and informed decisions.
Advancement: Appointees who successfully complete the twelve (12) month training period will be eligible for advancement to the following title under Civil Service Commission procedures: Administrative Analyst 1. The inability of an employee in this trainee title to attain a level of performance warranting advancement to the title listed above shall be considered as cause for separation.
Preferred Education/Experience
At least two (2) years of experience in conducting audits, examining, analyzing and interpreting accounting systems, records, and reports by applying generally accepted accounting or auditing principles.Employee Benefits
