Experience
Four (4) years of experience in applying the theory, principles, and techniques of speech-language therapy or audiology.Certification
Applicants must possess a current and valid license as a Speech Pathologist/Audiologist issued by the Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology Advisory Committee, Division of Consumer Affairs, Department of Law and Public Safety.
Preferred Education/Experience
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Master’s degree in Speech and Language Pathology or related field; working with deaf, hard of hearing, and multiply disabled students ranging from ages 3-21; and possession of an ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competency.Special Note (MKSD)
Note: Ability to communicate in American Sign Language preferred, or a commitment to learn American Sign Language in two (2) years.Note: All final candidates must be fingerprinted and bear the $78.38 cost of the criminal history check in order to qualify for employment at the Marie H. Katzenbach School for the Deaf.
